The new SA-24 was delivered by Seatamer Marine's owner Joe Vella to SMRA members at Swansea on the 2 March 2003.  The final payment for the vessel, a cheque for $14,000.00 was handed to Mr Vella by SMRA President Bill Carter.  The new SA-24 was then taken out to sea on a test run by the SMRA delivery crew of Mario Savocca, Paul Klausen, Peter Taylor, Vernon Webber and Bill Carter.

 On Monday 3 March 2003 SA-24 entered the Crookhaven River for the first time following a successful voyage from Swansea.
